My Will

Just some thoughts about dying to myself after a few days of reading these words.

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?
Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 11:33-12:2
When I follow my own will, I constantly have to put forth effort, but it won't pay off.

When I follow my own will, it's impossible to live the truth that all things on earth are from Him, through Him, and to Him.

When I follow my own will, I wear myself out and continue on a path of dissatisfaction.

But,
When I die to my own will, I surrender our way to following His way, and it will always pay off.

When I die to my own will, I am always learning of the depth of His riches, wisdom, and knowledge.

When I die to my own will, I can offer myself to Him as a living sacrifice, escaping the death toward which I was walking.

When I die to my own will, I am brought to life in the Lord's good, acceptable, and perfect will.

In His will, Jesus took the suffering I chose without Him, and gave me the life only He should have. What does He not deserve from me in return?
